Geris H. Hernandez: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Starting at a young age, Geris found his love for construction and real estate when he spent his summers working on construction sites with his family. After gaining some important life experiences, he transitioned to find and develop partners so they could renovate homes to sell for a profit. In flipping houses, Geris’ projects always yielded lucrative returns for his investors leading to long term business relationships. He became their peer through honesty, integrity, and trust.
Between building these business relationships and majoring in business management, he found himself partners to start several companies, as well. In the food industry, he owned and operated a high-volume restaurant before selling to investors in a 6x multiple transaction. In the advertisement industry, he established and subsequently sold a successful marketing agency, acquiring Madison Avenue accounts such as Gold Bond and more, all by the age of 21. In the online retail industry, he built and operated a “rugged gear” drop shipping website, eventually selling his website to investors in Silicon Valley. His ability to capitalize in niche markets has proven time and again that he can deliver what is necessary to optimize, grow and protect a business.
With the emergence of The Aristocrat Group, Geris is realizing his dream to build and run a real estate property development firm. Backed by investors and thirteen years of experience, Geris plans to continue to yield consistent returns by tapping into high-end real estate markets.
When asked about why he started The Aristocrat Group, LLC, Geris responded:
“From watching house flipping shows on TV to seeing those I looked up to build and sell homes, it has always been my dream to enter the real estate industry. To me, building allows for all areas of business to flourish. I love to make what I envision a reality. While I like sitting behind my desk in a suit and tie, crunching numbers and running projections, I love working with my hands and getting dirt on my boots. Real estate development allows me to do both”
MaryAnn Sackman: Vice President (VP)
MaryAnn Sackman has over thirty-five years of business experience, with a specialty in insurance consulting.
MaryAnn owned, operated and was President of Risk Management International, Ltd. (RMI). She performed independent risk management for private, commercial, and governmental entities as well as specializing in property and casualty insurance. MaryAnn’s firm specialized in on-site consulting to help minimize liability for all of her clients. Her broad clientele included food retailers, wholesalers, as well as real estate and health care personnel. As president and founder of RMI, MaryAnn established the Risk Purchasing Group Management division, which aligned industry-specific clients for advantageous group purchasing power for the most comprehensive, cost-effective coverage.
During her thirty-five years in business, MaryAnn became heavily involved with her real estate client’s insurance needs. She protected her clients in an ever changing industry without fail, which allowed her to gain a different and valued vantage point of mitigating exposures on a construction site for ownership.
MaryAnn’s expert knowledge of insurance allowed her to mitigate risk and develop sites, leading them to more profitable and safeguarded ownership. After thirty-five successful years, MaryAnn and her partner sold their business to the Wright Insurance Group
Throughout her career, she was named one of Business Insurance’s 2011 Women to Watch as a high-profile business leader. Long Island Business News recognized her as a Top Influential Woman while also being a recipient of industry distinction by the New York Real Estate Journal.
She has since transitioned her expertise to The Aristocrat Group, helping protect the firms’ projects by leading the insurance procurement efforts with proper placements and finding the best economical options that do not interfere with protection.
Neelam Patel: Managing Director and Vice President of Finance
Neelam is a seasoned executive with a high level of personal drive, motivation and leadership skills which have allowed her to be successful across all positions she has held. Neelam is a trained physician since 2000, triple board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, and Critical Care, and has also held executive positions as Medical Director. Neelam used this experience to launch her own healthcare staffing firm in 2010, alongside another consulting business, as the Founder and CEO of both companies.
Since 2015 she has held a single-family real estate portfolio spanning the east coast from New York to Florida. Her experience in executive management and networks with high net worth individuals have allowed her to successfully balance multiple projects and raise capital over the years. More recently she has leveraged her skillset into commercial real estate and continues to build networks in this arena.
Jerry Rumplick: AIA Project Architect
Jerry’s thirty years of experience has been in a design-build arena since leaving the University of Buffalo in 1986. Through the years, his employment has been with a majority of construction and commercial and residential development firms as a freelance architect. Most projects have been designed, developed, and constructed by the firm that hired his services.
This has aided Jerry in acquiring substantial knowledge in areas of site acquisition and development, site planning and zoning, budget development and analysis, and permit process expediting, in addition to gaining experience in on-site construction management. Jerry has presented numerous projects to Planning, Zoning, and Architectural Review Boards. The relationship with all design consultants has not only been cultivated through the design process, but elevated through the entire construction process. A key component of Jerry’s success is having every design professional involved from the inception to the final clean-up of every project, which has benefitted the building owners with projects that are on time and on budget.
